UVM Health Network Medical Group Integration Summit
On November 2-3, more than 300 people gathered in Stowe, Vt. for the
University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group’s Integration Summit. The 2nd annual summit, “
Defy Convention: Challenge what’s accepted and do the unexpected” – included six national speakers, panel discussions, and workgroups charged with developing practical solutions for a specific issue that could be used in their workplace.
The speaker lineup included a wealth of national thought leaders, including Steve Robbins, PhD, a “student of human behavior” who works with organizations to help them navigate differences. A powerful storyteller with a powerful story to tell, Dr. Robbins’ presentation had an “outstanding combination of humor, information, insight and personal connection,” as noted by attendees.
Other sessions included optimizing health and minimizing health care costs for our communities; how to encourage innovation; the current state of health care; mindfulness for the 21st century; and balancing patient and organizational needs.
Stay tuned for more information on the next Summit!
