  • National Cancer Institute Acting Director Lowy to Discuss HPV Vaccine 5/12

    On Friday May 12, 2017, Douglas Lowy, M.D., acting director of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), will visit the University of Vermont (UVM) Cancer Center and deliver a J. Walter Juckett Distinguished lecture on the development and future of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

  • Students’ Creativity & Curiosity on Display at Research Conference

    Larner College of Medicine student research projects were among a record 440 projects showcased at the University of Vermont’s 2017 Student Research Conference on April 27, 2017 in the Davis Center’s Grand Maple Ballroom. The event – the largest in its 11-year history – was a display of student passion for research and poise in presentation.
  • Budd to Deliver Research Laureate Lecture on Lupus May 9

    Larner College of Medicine Research Laureate and University Distinguished Professor of Medicine Ralph Budd, M.D., will present the inaugural Research Laureate Lecture on May 9, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the Sullivan Classroom in the Medical Education Center. His talk is titled “The El Greco Lesson: 33 Years of Thinking Lupus.”

  • University of Vermont Mourns the Passing of Robert Larner, UVM’39, M.D.’42

    Robert Larner, M.D., the Burlington native for whom the UVM Larner College of Medicine was named in September of 2016, died peacefully at his home in Woodland Hills, Calif. on Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was 99 years old.
