Tuberculosis Skin Testing
All medical students are required to undergo baseline TB testing prior to matriculation per the AAMC Standardized Immunization Form. Students will be required to undergo repeat TB testing annually beginning one year after their clinical curriculum. Students exempt from annual testing include a positive interferon gamma release assay, a positive TB skin test, or prior history of latent or active TB. A history of the BCG vaccine is not a contraindication to testing. In the event of a positive TB test, students should contact Student Health Services for further evaluation and treatment.
