Essentials of Teaching and Assessment

A one-day, intensive course to introduce participants to the pedagogy, strategies, and resources for effective teaching and assessment. This event is open to all UVM College of Medicine
faculty. This course is designed especially for faculty, residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdocs who are new to teaching.

Call for Facilitators: An Introduction to
Interprofessional Education
On behalf of the Interprofessional Education and Practice
team from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences: An Introduction to
Interprofessional Education: Learning About, From, and With Each Other will
take place on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Dudley H. Davis Center.
This event for students will include two sessions (AM and PM) of “Speed Dating”
in which Practitioners/Faculty from various professions circulate among
assigned tables to engage with students regarding roles and responsibilities
and interprofessional collaborative practice (4 rounds with four different
professions- 7 minute rotations -speeders will receive instructions and IPEC
Core Competencies). Faculty participation is needed: 10:45 - 11:45am
and/or 2:00 - 3:00 pm. Of course all faculty are welcome for an entire

NEGEA 2020 Annual Conference
Thursday, April 30-Saturday, May 2, 2020
The Robert Larner MD College of Medicine will host the 2020 NEGEA Annual Conference. The NEGEA
is one of four regional groups of the AAMC’s Group on Educational Affairs (GEA). Its purpose is to promote excellence in the education of medical students, residents and physicians through the professional development of medical educators.
Regional meetings provide a forum for exchanging ideas, learning new strategies and developing plans that may facilitate your own work and the implementation of the NEGEA’s mission. Details and registration will be announced this fall!
