Congratulations on your admission to the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont! 

What to do next:   

• Review your contact information: Please keep your preferred contact information updated in AMCAS. Until matriculation, this is the phone number, email address, and regular mailing address that we use to contact you.

• Release your background check: Your acceptance is provisional until you have completed and released the results of a criminal background check. Please review our brochure, "About the AAMC-Facilitated Background Check Service"  for more information.

• Update your status with us on the CYMS tool: PTE by April 30th and CTE with us by June 24 to retain your seat. Committing to enroll means you must withdraw any acceptances or waitlist spots at other medical schools.

• U.S. Citizens and permanent residents: Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid  (FAFSA) if you intend to take out a loan. 

• Connect with our Student Financial Services Coordinator: To schedule a meeting, review tuition costs or to get any other financial assistance, visit Financial Services.  This is a Larner College of Medicine-specific resource for financial services. 
  

• Activate your OASIS account: Our office will send you an OASIS instructions log-in email once we have received your background check and established you as a medical student. Read more on the matriculation requirements webpage.
  

• Tours: For admitted students, you are welcome to email our office at least a week before your visit and we can schedule a tour with a student ambassador. 

• Dana Health Sciences Library: Welcome to UVM, medical students! Did you know you have a library completely dedicated to the health sciences fields? Learn more about Dana Health Sciences Library by attending a tour during orientation week. More information can be found on the calendar in your VIC portal. Send any questions to the Dana circulation department. 

• Create your monthly budget and spending plan using this budget worksheet.  Ensuring your finances are well-planned is an important step prior to beginning your medical education.
