Class of 2020, Faculty & Staff Accomplishments Celebrated with Online Honors Celebration

May 12, 2020 by Jennifer Nachbur

On May 11, awardees from the Larner College of Medicine Class of 2020, faculty and staff were recognized through an online Honors Celebration featuring remarks from Dean Page and videotaped presentations of each award.

Each year, the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont celebrates the accomplishments of graduating medical students and honors the faculty and staff who have supported them along the way at the Honors Night event. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this moment in the Class of 2020’s medical school journey was celebrated a bit differently.

On May 11, awardees from the Class of 2020, faculty and staff were notified by email and celebrated via an online event featuring videotaped welcome remarks by Dean Richard L. Page, M.D., and presenter announcements of the awards and award recipients. Individual student awards, faculty awards, a staff award, and a department award, were presented.
