2024 Snow Season Education Retreat: January 18-19, 2024
SAVE THE DATE: A two-day, multi-channel education retreat featuring a plenary, poster session, workshops, and networking. This event is open to all UVM Larner College of Medicine faculty, students, and staff at all teaching sites in the University of Vermont Health Network. Registration will open this fall.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Are you interested in sharing your educational work and building your academic education credentials (whether you are starting from scratch or have done a lot…or anywhere in between)?This is an open invitation to submit a poster about your educational work, innovation, or research at a receptive and welcoming event. We are seeking poster submissions (whether current or recently presented work) for the 2024 Snow Season Education Retreat. This will be an opportunity for UVM LCOM educators to share ideas and to collaborate across departments. We are particularly interested in work related to the education of professionals across the continuum of learners.
Innovations: Descriptions of innovations in teaching, assessment, educational administration.
Research: Studies on topics related to health professions education. All approaches to inquiry (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, systematic review) are welcome.
Quality Improvement: Examples of CQI approaches applied to health professions education.
We will consider posters you have presented at previous venues, other than Teaching Academy events.
The Snow Season Education Retreat will be held on Thursday, January 18 and Friday, January 19, 2024. If your abstract is selected, you will be expected to attend the Poster Session on Friday, January 19, 2024, in-person at the Davis Center. If you request a peer-review for your poster, you must be present during the Snow Season Poster Session.
The deadline for poster abstract submission is November 6, 2023. Abstract must be no more than 300 words. Please submit your poster proposal to Teaching.Academy@med.uvm.edu
