Changing Your Password

From Your COMIS Laptop (PC)

  • If you have a Larner College of Medicine laptop and your password is about to expire, we recommend that you change your password from your laptop instead of another computer or terminal server. If you do not change your password from your laptop, your COMIS password will be out of sync with the password cached on your laptop. Here is what we recommend:
    • Bring your laptop to the Larner College of Medicine and connect to a network jack or HSID wireless network and log on as usual OR,
    • If you are at home, connect to the internet and establish a VPN connection to the Larner College of Medicine.
  • After you have established a connection to the Larner College of Medicine, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on your keyboard and click on Change Password. This will allow you to change your password without letting your password on your local computer get out of sync.
  • Remember to update your password on any device that is connected to your email (smartphone, tablet etc. )
