As we transition to 100% active learning at the Larner College of Medicine, we are changing the way faculty and students teach and learn. Active learning methods rely on student engagement to construct
knowledge rather than passively absorb it from an expert. The focus of
an active learning session is not on faculty transferring information,
but on students developing skills such as clinical reasoning, analysis, and application.
The Active Learning Team, part of the Office of Medical Student Education, is comprised of a director, project manager, and instructional designers. Our mission is to support faculty and course directors. Contact us today to start planning for a session.
