Overview

The conference is intended for dermatologists, although primary care physicians with a special interest in dermatology are welcome to attend. The course is designed to provide high-level continuing education for dermatologists, keeping them abreast of new and exciting findings in basic science, clinical dermatology and dermatologic therapy. We are fortunate this year to have an outstanding group of lecturers speaking on a wide range of clinical applications.

Objectives

1. Employ new topical and systemic treatments in dermatitis. Investigate several new and highly novel therapies which will allow for more targeted therapies.
2. Practice up‐to‐date diagnosis and management of acne rosacea.
3. Enhance your diagnosis and management of vulvar diseases.
4. Improve your management of patients with HIV and HIV‐related dermatoses. HIV dermatology in the era of HAART.
5. Learn the challenges that face telemedicine and tips to streamline.
6. Employ novel treatment approaches in the management of cutaneous disease.
7. Implement the latest changes and updates in photoprotection.
8. Recognize and manage the systemic manifestations of cutaneous diseases. The opposite of the typical lecture.
9. Be literature literate. Update yourself on the greatest articles of 2017.

Accreditation

The Robert Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing medical education for the healthcare team.

The University of Vermont designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The University of Vermont Eastern Winter Dermatology Conference (Program #531100) is recognized by the American Academy of Dermatology for 14 AAD Recognized Credit(s) and may be used toward the American Academy of Dermatology’s Continuing Medical Education Award.

Application for CME Credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.

Determination of Pharmacotherapeutic Credit is pending.

Registration Fees

TUITION: Physicians $575 (on or before December 15th); Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants $350 (on or before December 15th); Physicians-in-training $300. Please add $50 after December 15, 2016. Fee includes online course materials, continental breakfasts, breaks and reception.

REFUNDS: Refunds, minus an administrative fee of $75, will be made only if notice of cancellation is received in writing by January 10, 2017. Refunds are not possible after that date.
