Herald Chronicle Quotes Levine on ‘Clinician Support Initiative’ Partnership with Larner Alum Papier

(NOVEMBER 3, 2022) Health Commissioner and Professor of Medicine Mark Levine, M.D., was quoted in the Herald Chronicle speaking about a new partnership between the Vermont Department of Health and health care informatics company VisualDx -- whose CEO is Larner College of Medicine alumnus Art Papier, M.D.’88 -- to create a new “Clinician Support Initiative.”

(NOVEMBER 3, 2022) Vermont Health Commissioner Mark Levine, M.D., professor of medicine and associate dean for graduate medical education, was quoted in the (Winchester, Tenn.) Herald Chronicle speaking about a new partnership with VisualDx, a health care informatics company based in Rochester, N.Y., whose CEO is Larner College of Medicine alumnus Art Papier, M.D.’88. Available on the web or through an app, the partnership’s Clinician Support Initiative will provide Vermont health care professionals with access to a vast collection of images and clinical information about public health threats, including monkeypox, COVID-19, and Lyme disease, to help improve the speed and accuracy of diagnosis and facilitate the timely reporting to public health for diseases of public health significance. In the article, titled Vermont Initiative Gives Clinicians New Tools for Infectious Disease Diagnosis and Response,” Papier said the mission of VisualDx is “to provide medical professionals with tools and resources to augment decision-making and improve patient health.” Levine noted, “Diagnostic tools and educational resources that clinicians can share with patients are integral to achieving our shared mission of driving better care and public health.”
