About Us
Message from the Division Chief
Dermatology is a
strong clinical division with broad expertise in medical, pediatric, and
surgical dermatology. Our faculty members are locally and nationally renowned
for their academic excellence and devotion to patient care.
Our unit cares for over 30,000 patients annually and draws from a
large regional base that encompasses a large portion of Northern New York to
most of the Green Mountain state. The division is well-known for its superior
dermatology residency program, as well as its Mohs micrographic surgery and
dermatologic oncology and dermatopathology fellowship programs.
Attending physicians and trainees regularly make
strong contributions to the medical literature, and we are thoughtfully
expanding our academic reach with targeted areas of research in cutaneous
oncology and bioinformatics. Our state-of the-art facility overlooks Lake
Champlain and the Adirondack mountains, and we provide patient care at an
unhurried, deliberate pace.
