- AMWA Gender Equity Award to Lee-Anna Burgess, MD, assistant professor of medicine and course director, Nutrition, Metabolism, and Gastrointestinal Systems (NMGI)
- The Silver Stethoscope Award to Kramer Wahlberg, MD, assistant professor of medicine and cardiology.
- Above and Beyond Award to Abigail Hielscher, PhD, assistant professor of neurological sciences.
- Foundations Course Director Award to John Steele Taylor, MD, assistant professor of neurological sciences.
- Foundations Teaching Award to Kramer Wahlberg, MD
- Curriculum Innovation Award to John Steele Taylor, MD
The Northeast Group on Educational Affairs announced last week that Katie Huggett, PhD, Teaching Academy Director, and Cate Nicholas, MS, PA, EdD, FSSH, Director of Education and Operations, Clinical Simulation Laboratory, Director of the Standardized Patient Program, and Distinguished Educators, will receive the 2024 NEGEA Distinguished Educator Awards. The awards will be presented at the 2024 Annual Conference at NYU Langone Health in May.

Gold Foundation accepting
submissions for Dr. Hope Babette Tang Humanism in Healthcare Essay Contest
The annual Dr. Hope Babette Tang Humanism in Healthcare Essay Contest, created by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, asks medical and nursing students to engage in a reflective writing exercise that illustrates an experience where they or a health care
team member worked to ensure that humanism was at the core of care. Submissions that touch upon students' personal experiences of humanistic care or stories of family and friends are also accepted. The deadline for submissions is March 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Submit Your Application for the IAMSE 2024 IM-REACH Program
The IM-REACH certificate program provides an opportunity to enhance skills, gain experience, and engage in reflection and growth as a mentor and ultimately influence your relationship with your mentee. The goal of this program is to develop
well-rounded, diverse health professional education mentors through targeted professional development in key aspects of mentorship, which includes both knowledge and skills. The program will provide evidence of that mentorship leads to
specialized achievement that enhances and supports career advancement for both mentors and mentees. Participants will complete a one-year certificate program with a scholarly project related to their professional needs as a mentor or as
