Congratulations!
Cancer Center member Maura (“Molly”) Barry, MD, Teaching Academy Expert Teacher and Associate Professor of Medicine, has been named executive director for the Women’s Health and Cancer Conference, to be held September
20 at the University of Vermont.
Teaching Academy Expert Teacher and Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Bronwyn Bryant, MD, received the AMA ChangeMedEd® Initiative Innovation Grant, focused on Academic Coaching for “Incorporating Coaching
in the Moment and Coaching Over Time to support EPA-based assessment in Pathology Residency Training.”
UVM Staff Council presented the 2023-2024 Rock Award to Amanda Broder, Teaching Academy Conference and Member Event Coordinator. This award honors a staff council member who exemplifies strength and reliability. Amanda co-chaired the
Community Engagement Committee for the UVM Staff Council, hosting activities including lunchtime crafting sessions and campus art walks for UVM staff. The award was presented at the staff council's annual end of year recognition luncheon on July 30
at the UVM Alumni House.

Dr. Etienne is the keynote speaker for the Department of Neurological Sciences’ annual education retreat. The keynote address will begin the retreat and is open to the Larner community. Dr. Etienne’s keynote address is being
jointly sponsored by the Department of Neurological Sciences and The Teaching Academy. Events following the keynote address are for the faculty of the Department of Neurological Sciences.

UVMHN Medical Group Grants Invitation
All members of the UVMHN Medical Group with faculty appointments are eligible to submit a grant proposal as a Principal Investigator and are encouraged to include other UVMHN Medical Group members and health professional colleagues within the UVM Health
Network.
Please submit a one-page letter of intent by September 9—which is an opportunity for consultation and guidance—and a full proposal by the November deadline below. We plan to announce awardees by January.
