Rebecca Guy, MLS (ASCP), Ph.D.

Training & Education

Dr. Guy received her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Vermont in 2001 studying Salmonella pathogenesis with Dr. Murray Stein. For postdoctoral research, she studied the role of calcium and gene regulation in vascular smooth muscle with Dr. Karen Lounsbury at UVM. She received her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science from UVM in 2010 and worked as a Charge Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the UVM Medical Center, Microbiology Division. 

Dr. Guy joined the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in 2019.
