About the conference:
The 5th Annual
VCBH Conference brought together 20 of the nation's leading scholars in
tobacco research to discuss tobacco regulatory science, and it's
potential impact on vulnerable populations. Regulating the nicotine
content of cigarettes and other products is an important responsibility
of the FDA that has tremendous potential to reduce smoking prevalence
and improve public health.
Keynote speaker, Mitch Zeller, J.D.,
discussed the FDA's plan for nicotine reduction during his presentation
titled, "FDA's New Comprehensive Plan for Nicotine Regulation."
Nearly 130 researchers, students, and healthcare personnel attended the conference and over 5,000 tuned in to watch it live!
