Welcome to the University of Vermont E-Cigarette Flavor Study.

This research study looks at whether flavors change the effects of e-cigarettes (vapes) that contain nicotine. The study is being conducted by the University of Vermont and will involve 6 videoconference sessions as well as one curbside pick-up of study supplies at the University Health Center. This research is supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration and is being conducted by the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont.

We are recruiting individuals who are 21 and older who currently smoke tobacco cigarettes and use a JUUL e-cigarette. Eligible participants will be asked to identify their preferred and non-preferred JUUL pod flavors (from Virginia Tobacco and Menthol). Participants will be asked to puff these flavors in low and high nicotine doses and complete surveys. Participants are asked to abstain from all nicotine and tobacco products for 16 hours prior to 4 of the videoconference sessions.

Eligible participants can earn up to $200 in Amazon gift cards for completing all study tasks.

Thank you for your interest. We have completed enrollment for this study.
